Do you want "The View" without the "price tag"? East Richmond Heights is my cheat code for the East Bay. If you were standing in a house with these views in Kensington or the Berkeley Hills, you’d be paying double.
This neighborhood is for people who like a little bit of adventure. The roads are winding, the houses are unique (no cookie-cutter subdivisions here), and you feel tucked away. It’s quiet up here. You’re above the fog line a lot of the time, and the sunsets are absolutely killer.
Plus, you are bordering Wildcat Canyon Regional Park. For hikers and dog walkers, it’s paradise. You get that semi-rural, woods-y feeling, but you’re still just a quick drive down the hill to the freeway. It’s the best of both worlds.
